Cannabis Milk Preparation
Weed milk is probably one of the most famous and elaborate cannabis recipes. Together with cannabis butter, it serves as a base for many more recipes.
The preparation of cannabis milk involves extracting the cannabinoids from marijuana in a fatty base, as they are fat-soluble.
The challenge of its preparation lies in using the appropriate amounts of cannabis and milk, being, in some cases, too potent.
UTENSILS
- Glass jar
- Saucepan
- Wooden spoon
INGREDIENTS
- 25-35g of Cannabis (Keep in mind that if leaves are used instead of flowers, the intensity will be much lower)
- 1 liter of whole milk (It is important that it is whole since cannabinoids are fat-soluble, that is, if cannabinoids are mixed with fats or fatty oils, they will be contained in that fatty matter).
PREPARATION STEPS - CANNABIS MILK
The first thing we have to do is decarboxylate the flowers, in order to activate the weed.
As we already mentioned in the Article “Cannabis Cookies Recipe” , to decarboxylate the flowers, the following steps are needed:
- Preheat the oven to 110º.
- Crush the flowers with the grinder and spread them on baking paper evenly so that the heat affects them equally. The better the flowers are ground, the better the cannabinoids will be extracted
- Once the oven is hot, put the crushed flowers in and leave them for 45 minutes.
- If everything goes well, you will be able to see how the flowers change to a brown-yellow tone.
- Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat until it boils slightly.
- Once it boils, lower the heat and add the marijuana. Stir occasionally with a wooden spoon.
- Let it simmer for one hour. Don't forget to stir from time to time.
- After an hour, allow the mixture to cool and, using a fine sieve, strain it and store it in a glass container.
- Put the milk in the fridge.

Storing the Cannabis Smoothie
It is important that we store our smoothie in the fridge.
Cannabis milk will keep for a few days in the fridge as long as it is well preserved.
Keep in mind that the effects of marijuana will take 1 to 2 hours to manifest, as it takes longer for the effects to appear as it is an edible.
